Sermon Overview
Though Jesus’s death was His primary mission in life, He did have other goals that He sought to accomplish that were important for God’s overall plan for redemptive history. One of those goals was the training of the twelve apostles. Jesus invested heavily in twelve men so that they could faithfully replicate His ministry on earth after He ascended to heaven. In this lesson, we consider five qualities of a faithful representative of Jesus.
- Possess Jesus’s Authority (6:7)
- Trust Jesus’s Provision (6:8-9)
- Follow Jesus’s Priorities (6:10-11)
- Selflessly Serve Those Who Accept the Gospel (vs. 10)
- Severely Warn Those Who Reject the Gospel (vs. 11)
- Proclaim Jesus’s Message (6:12)
- Magnify Jesus’s Power (6:13)
