Sermon Overview
After writing 1 Thessalonians, Paul learns that there are still problems in the church at Thessalonica. Persecution was increasing, false doctrine was spreading, and bad living resulted from it. Yet although the Thessalonians didn’t have a perfect church, they did have a model church. In this passage, Paul highlights five marks of a model church that are demonstrated in the Thessalonians believers.
